But in terms of the main trio, James easily fits this role given he's very arrogant, rude, selfish, vain, and a fiery, impulsive temper too match, so naturally, the red mogul would act on instinct if it means he gets whatever he wants. Funny because most Thomas characters would probably fit Id given the show was known for having arrogant, prideful, and stubborn jerks that always get their comeuppance when they try to go beyond their limits. Thinking they're entitled and can do whatever they want without any limits. James-Id: James I can easily see as Id, because Id describes a person that is impulsive and acts on instinct. And given the titles I've added, here's where I would place them in the Freudian psychological terms. They work off each other greatly with Thomas being the main character, James being the breakout character and Percy being the fun comic relief. Thanks to Crovan, Thomas and James are the main duo given the amount of screen time they both have and dynamics they have with various characters, and the fact these two have their own loving girlfriends, but because Percy's my second favorite, Thomas's best friend and easily a fun character, now they're the main trio, just like the actual series, and honestly, I'm so glad they are, as these three have such a great chemistry together, especially since they're the main faces of the Thomas franchise in general everyone's gonna remember by name. I do love these three as a trio in the actual show, and whilst I still think it's overused too much, I do think they are a great trio.

Now for those who don't know, Id, Ego and Superego are used to describe a person based on how they act. Hi guys! Now for something a little different, as I had this idea for some time, which characters in Thomas the Tank Engine would represent the Freudian psychological theories, Id, Ego, and Superego.
